When I go to church (which is rarely) I shudder at the Lord's Prayer. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Doesn't that mean that I must forgive before God will forgive me? I'm not sure that I HAVE forgiven the people who trespassed against me when I was nine. I don't even know HOW I can forgive if I'm still discovering the effects of their trespassing! Any suggestions of where I go from here?
